Project to Help the Poorest Families in
Rural Guatemala through Education and Good Nutrition
The state of our world today has dramatically
affected the lives of
people in many underdeveloped countries. Fortunately Guatemala is known
as the land of Eternal Spring and so Life is Hope and, with Hope, there
is the motivation to learn and build a future. Please consider
sponsoring a young girl in Guatemala. Two hundred dollars ($200 USD)
each year will offer one of these children education for one year. Five
hundred Guatemalan girls have applied for tuition so they can go to
school. Without your help, they cannot attend. The average family makes
less than $2 a day and so there are no local resources for school at
this time. Without education the level of illiteracy, which is now at
45%, will persist. A full schedule with room and board is $1500/ year.
These children and their families represent the
60% of Guatemalan families who live under conditions of extreme poverty.
